Marking 30 Years of Liturgical Art Through Simplicity and Story
When I began reflecting on how to mark 30 years of creating liturgical textiles, I knew it needed to be more than a celebration. It had to be an embodiment.
A single design. For all seasons. Rooted in something ancient and alive.
That’s how En Christo was born.
It had to tell a story—of belonging, of faith, of love and divine presence. It needed to feel rich and deep, even in its simplicity. And En Christo holds that depth.
Let me take you down the rabbit hole with me:
En Christo = In Christ = In Love = In Light = In Human Form = In Divine Form = In Spirit
To live En Christo is to live, by choice, in the embodied force field of the Risen Christ. To express something sacred in tangible form. To remember that Christ lives in us—and we live in Christ.
This stole is a visual theology. A wearable prayer. A reminder that we are always held by something deeper than ourselves.
Where the Living Water stole spoke of flow and nourishment for the dry places, En Christo offers grounding. Presence. The quiet strength to show up again and again with grace.
Together, these designs form the heart of my Summer Stole Series.
They are for the ones walking long roads of ministry, spiritual leadership, or faithful living. For those who want to wrap themselves in something that reminds them: You are not alone. You are not forgotten. You are in Christ.
With gratitude, K. Brodie Archibald
