Good morning! Well, it is September 16th and amazingly, we are rounding the corner to the final stretch of this incredible year of production and the next phase of this lifetime project of faith. I went to bed last night incredibly grateful for all the things that have brought me here. The overwhelming knowledge that this project has been divinely guided for over 15 years is quite astounding. The ministry it is birthing is just beginning.
Station #10 was completed this past week. It is actually quite remarkable, given that it is an unusual depiction of Jesus being stripped of his garments. I’m very happy with it, the use of the stained tunic linen, the muted colours, and the use of green for the hands. It is dynamic.
Yesterday I completed Station #3. Which sounds strange, but because I didn’t have the material I needed for the backing when the front was complete, it still needed to be fully finished. Which it is now. Tomorrow I’m going to the first photo session for this project with local photographer Dave Best. Stations 1-10 will be photographed. The rest of the week is a creative pause and a chance to catch up on administrative tasks.
Coming up soon we are holding an Open Studio. It is going to be a powerful experience to have all 10 finished pieces filling my basement and studio for 6 hours. But it’s going to feel so good! And this is what I trust for today.
