June 12th! And wow have we had a run on gorgeous spring summery days! This is when my cool downstairs studio comes into its own!
We are halfway through creating Station #6, but Station #5 brought me into the process of creating in a very physical, bodily way. The hours even just at the sewing machine were 17. When I finished my shoulder was screaming, which was a new experience for me. It did go away within a few days, but over the last two weeks I have been sourcing out medical assistance. I have now been for acupuncture, physiotherapy and massage therapy.
Who would have guessed that I would have to begin working out in order to complete this art project?! Not I! And yet it does make perfect sense that I will have to strengthen my upper body for this intense sewing journey throughout 2025. So here I am, nearly midway through the year, thinking about this project as an athlete might! I will need to protect and nurture my physical body so that I can persevere through a creative and spiritual marathon. But I do believe I can do this, with a wider (health sector) support than I previously thought. This is what I trust today.
